Rain Barrel Workshop
Make Your Own Rain Barrel
Save money and help the environment with this DIY rain barrel workshop
Emy Sautter

Rain barrels collect rain water from your rooftop for watering your yard and plants. They save water, lower water bills and reduce stormwater run-off. But buying a rain barrel can cost $100 or more. Build your own rain barrel for free and find pride in doing it yourself!

This hands-on workshop will be facilitated by Emy Sautter at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha). It includes a barrel, screen and spigot, all for free thanks to a Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation grant.

The class will be limited to 15 participants, and registration is required by March 29.
